What is important is that the current situation of rapid aging before getting rich will make the disease burden heavier and heavier.
The international cooperation team of the Global Disease Burden Project, led by the Institute of Health Indicators and Evaluation of the University of Washington, recently published papers in The Lancet, deeply analyzing 35,620 epidemiological data from 188 countries and the investigation of all major diseases and disabilities from 1990 to 2013. The results show that the life expectancy of the global population reached 71.5 years in 2013, an increase of 6 years compared with 1990; However, the healthy life expectancy of the global population has only increased by 5.4 years compared with 1990, which lags behind the increase in life expectancy. This shows that people have lived or endured illness for a longer time. The Report on Nutrition and Chronic Diseases of China Residents (2015) points out that smoking, excessive drinking, unreasonable diet and insufficient activity are the four behavioral risk factors that threaten health. The proportion of participating in exercise is only 14.1%, of which 24.6% are urban residents and 10% are rural residents. The proportion of young and middle-aged people who regularly exercise is the lowest, and the elderly are higher.
Looking at the present situation, bad behavior has become the biggest risk factor for health. In the face of this dilemma, the current prevention and control model alone may not be effective.
