Mi Feng, spokesperson of the National Health and Wellness Commission, said that since June, 100 newly confirmed local cases have been reported in this round of cluster epidemic, and cluster infections are obvious in families, restaurants, schools and other places, with more than one-third of the confirmed cases among the elderly and minors. He suggested that the public must always do personal protection and actively cooperate with epidemic prevention requirements, must implement measures such as temperature measurement and code inspection in public places, and maintain spacing, and must do a good job in community prevention and control to prevent the spread of the epidemic.

Cui Gang, the second inspector of the CDC of the National Health and Wellness Commission, said that the relevant state departments have approved the emergency use of inactivated vaccine in Covid-19 for people aged 3 to 17. According to the epidemic situation, the needs of prevention and control work and the characteristics of the relevant population, the state will organize experts to study and formulate specific policies for vaccination for people aged 3 to 17. At the same time, we will work with relevant departments to organize and implement the vaccination work for children and adolescents.

Shao Yiming, a researcher at China CDC, said that COVID-19 vaccine users in China first started from adults over the age of 18, and now adults are over the age of 100, with more than 800 million doses, which is also the largest number of doses in a single country in the world. In these large-scale vaccination, a large number of data prove that COVID-19 vaccine in China is safe and effective.

After the conditional marketing approval, the inactivated vaccine developed by Sinopharm Zhongsheng Beijing Institute and Beijing Kexing Zhongwei Company, after being used by adults, continued to carry out expanded clinical trials for people aged 3 to 17, and accumulated more data, which were reported to the state in time.
